Next show will be held on

2nd February 2019

Preparations are underway for our 2019 show ......Exciting new competitions....

The Nimmitabel Show Committee have been busy getting things ready for our show.
Our Guest of Honour is the 2018 Winner of the Rural Achiever Award, Tim Green who will be opening the show.
Our Showgirl for 2019 is Brooke Martin-Smith and our Rural Achiever is Sarah Nesbitt

NEW EVENT for 2019 is not to be missed..... Monaro Mullet Competition.....  The 'Junior Showgirl Competition' is back for it's second year.  There are 4 categories from Newborns through to teenager (17 yrs).  Entry forms are on this website, so enter early.

The popular Show Shear, will feature some young talented shearers that are a must to watch.  This event is held in the 3 stand shearing board built by our wonderful community volunteers.   The Chainsaw Events, including post ripping has a extra element to it this year, definitely a must watch,  usually held right in front of the bar at the end of the day, naturally drawing a big crowd.

Once again we expect to have a packed Horse Schedule, starting very early and running all day.    Don't miss the pony club events in Ring 2, these are always fun for the kids.   The Stockman's Challenge is entertaining to say the least, watching horse and rider manage the obstacle course gets better each time!    Another awesome event for the kids is the Nimmitabel Bushkid's Challenge.  This event has proved very popular.  There is good prize money up for grabs.   Ages from 5 to 12 years can enter.

The ever popular Yard Dog Trials should again attract a large number of entries, and kicks off early at 8am.  These dogs show their natural ability to herd sheep and it is one of those events that is hard to walk away from once you start watching. The Stud and Commercial Cattle sections was a packed house (or shed) last show so the competition should be high.  The new and improved sheep shed means that the Judging Competition is now under cover and the Sheep Section events will flow smoothly throughout the day.

The 2019 schedule is due out in December, however the 2018 Main Schedule is still on our website. Also keep checking our facebook page for regular updates.

Put it in your diary. On the 2nd February, 2019.  The place to be is at the Nimmitabel show. You won't want to miss it!
